This Christmas more than ever we long to find peace.

Jesus will bring peace on earth, and he can give you peace now.

Yes, I want to find out about the peace that Jesus gives.

We all long for peace. Real peace. And Jesus can give us real peace.

On the original Christmas day 2000 years ago, when Jesus was born, a crowd of angels sang: “peace to those on whom God’s favour rests”

But how can a baby born 2000 years ago offer lasting peace today?

Jesus lived out peace on earth

Jesus said "blessed are the peacemakers”, “forgive as you have been forgiven”, “love your enemies. Pray for those who persecute you". 

He brought peace to the grieving and broken-hearted. He healed the sick, gave sight to the blind, restored those with devastating physical, mental and spiritual illnesses, and raised the dead to life. And when the religious and political powers piled on insults, false accusations and crucified him, he prayed “Father forgive them.” 

Jesus died to bring us peace with God – now and forever

Jesus’ paid a debt we couldn’t pay. He gave his life to give us peace with God.

And when he conquered our greatest enemy – death – he gave us new life beyond the grave. His resurrection is the promise of future peace on earth – when everything will be set right forever.

All who trust and follow this Prince of Peace are given the gift of his peace now. He brings the calm we crave. That doesn’t mean an end to suffering yet. But because we are at peace with God, we can survive whatever this broken world throws at us. God is our refuge and help. We can enjoy his favour, his security and love – even in the middle of life’s storms.
