LOVE & MARRIAGE

Getting Married at St Alban’s Lindfield

Congratulations! We’re delighted that you’re getting married and are considering St Alban’s as the place to celebrate your special day. Marriage is a gift from God for our joy and the wellbeing of all people. It’s a symbol of His unending love for his people and the union between Christ and the church. At St Alban’s, our desire is to help make your wedding day both meaningful and joyful, and to support you as you prepare for a marriage that is lasting, loving, and filled with grace.

The Venue

St Alban’s Lindfield is a beautiful heritage church nestled just around the corner from Lindfield Station on Sydney’s North Shore. With its classic architecture and peaceful setting, it provides a warm and welcoming space for your wedding ceremony.

The church comfortably accommodates up to 150 guests, offering an elegant and reverent atmosphere for celebrating this special occasion with your family and friends.

Who can get married at St Alban’s?

Our staff are available to conduct your marriage, following the wedding rites of the Anglican church of Australia. To be able to get married at St Alban’s Lindfield you must be:

  • Freely choosing to marry. That is not for visa purposes, crisis or pressure from parents.

  • Legally able to marry. If you have been married before, we will need to interview you first. This is so we can establish that the reasons for the breakdown of the previous marriage have been worked through and resolved as best as possible, and that all legal requirements have been met.

  • Attend a marriage preparation course before your wedding day. This course is designed to benefit you and prepare a strong foundation for your marriage.

  • Able to say your wedding vows with integrity. That is, you have every intention of keeping your marriage vows.

  • Aware that your vows will be said before God. For those who are not following Jesus, we encourage you to attend one of our Explore courses to get a fresh insight into who God is before affirming vows in God’s presence.
