Data projector

The basics:

• Show song lyrics and sermon slides - Microsoft Powerpoint
• Show videos - VLC
• Record sermons - Ease MP3 Recorder

Recording sermons:

Open up "Ease MP3 Recorder" next to the start button in the bottom left hand corner of the screen
click on record when the sermon starts (you have to remember to do this). Make sure you remember to stop the recording as well.

How to show a youtube or other flash video

Powerpoint does not work properly at the moment. Open the site in Mozilla Firefox. Click on the small video clip icon near the bottom right hand corner of the Firefox window.

Save the video to MyVideos

Open up VLC. There is a link in MyVideos.

Open up the downloaded 'flv video

This will bring up two windows. One is an interface, the other is the video. drag the video window over to the second monitor. Double click on the video.

Use the controls on the first window. Move the position back to the start, and pause it.
You can then run powerpoint over the paused video. To bring up the video, click on the second VLC window at the bottom of the screen(Called VLC (hardware...) rather than file-VMC media player). To bring back powerpoint, click on the second Powwerpoint window (called Powerpoint Slide show, as opposed to Microsoft Powerpoint - file).

Make sure the sound for the computer is down during the service (to minimise problems) but up just before you play the video.

You can put multiple videos into a queue. Click on the second button (show playsilt) then drag another file onto it.

Showing a website:

Use Firefox or IE. Drag the window onto the second screen then press F11.
