Christian music can be a great source of encouragement in the Christian life. But finding good Christian music can sometimes be a challenge.

Last year I found a big collection of good Christian music online (that is free to download) at: Mars Hill

Mars Hill Church is the church that Mark Driscoll's pastors in Seattle, Washington. Driscoll was out in Australia last August and packed out the Entertainment Centre for a night called "Burn Your Plastic Jesus."

There is a big variety of Christian music available on the Mars Hill website. All of it is music that has been played at their Sunday church services over the last few years. Mars Hill Church has a bunch of different bands with their own unique sound. Some songs are well known modern songs or old hymns revamped. However, most songs available to download are Mars Hill originals.

Like iTunes you can listen to a short sample before you download the whole song. My favourites are: "I've Been Crucified With Christ" by E-Pop and "We Have Not Known Thee As We Ought" by Team Strike Force.
