Children's Ministry

Sunday Ministry Program

Each Sunday, during school terms, children from leave the 10.00am service and head to the Sunday Ministry Program. The leaders of the Sunday Ministry Program prepare age-appropriate lessons to engage the children in learning about their growing faith in Jesus Christ. The children are divided into the following groups:

Sparklers — for Babies to children 4 years of age
Skidz — Kindergarten to Year 5 at school

Each Wednesday and Friday, during school terms, we run activities for our children and youth.

Wednesdays
• Junior Jivers : A fun 50 minute for under 5’s and their parents in the Lower Hall at 10.00am.
Musical Fun for the under 5’s through reading, playing games, singing and moving to music. In the same environment we hope to offer parents/caregivers an enthusiastic, positive weekly encounter for their children and an opportunity for friendship and support within the St Alban’s community.

Fridays
• Crunch Time : School years 1-4
An after-school Kid's Club in the Hall Friday afternoons from 3.10-4.30pm.
Games and activities, afternoon tea, bible teaching, craft - lots of fun!

• EPIC : School years 6-12
Meets every Friday beginning at 6pm with a youth church service and then splits into small groups to discuss some of life’s big questions.

Scripture Teaching

One of the great opportunities that St Alban’s has in the local community is to provide teachers for the Special Religious Education at Lindfield Public School. The team provides weekly, half-hour lessons across the whole school. Parents choose to send their children to the classes and for many it is the one opportunity they have to hear about Jesus. As each year begins there is always a need for new people to be involved in this valuable ministry.
